Ewan is a farmer, entrepreneur and innovator within the oyster industry. He has pioneered key innovations and the McAsh family have been the first to adopt many of the practices that have subsequently become standard within the industry.

An advocate work life balance Ewan loves being on the water as an oyster farmer, in the water surfing and diving but most of all spending time with his family doing all of those activities. He has won recognition and respect beyond the industry for his pioneering of farm based provenance and direct to consumer and restaurant marketing initiatives via Signature Oysters Pty. Ltd. He has also developed the SmartOysters farm management app.

I chased a dream of riding waves and this became my living for several years. As this career faded, I studied as a teacher, but couldn’t shake my love for the water. I couldn’t have imagined finding another path that would give me the same type of fulfillment. Being on the river though - bloody magic!

After cutting my teeth in the oyster world I began to form my own ideas on producing the perfect oyster. Well fed, well rolled and well loved beauties!
